Re: Welcome!

PSSST, you should check that link the centre sent in the email, I just did and something showed up!

No luck for me it seems (I'm even relieved, my life was going to be a constant stress the following months had I been shortlisted). Good luck to all of those shortlisted!

Re: Learning the Japanese language

Now Im making a verb list with all the forms, helps a lot, so I recommend you something along those lines, not very helpful as all my study material is in Spanish. You need a lot of sheer willpower to not fail on your quest, good luck. I need to do something along those lines as well. Or at least f...

Re: Experiences [Bad Ones]

I had a back problem in October and went to the hospital and got a check-up just like I would back at my home country. Did you communicate in English with the doctor? I didn't see this question! Sorry for the late reply (and the double post). No, I communicated in Japanese. However, since it was an...

I had a back problem in October and went to the hospital and got a check-up just like I would back at my home country. Did you communicate in English with the doctor? Also, the cases you ask about are very specific questions that can be answered when you get selected at the pre-departure briefing s...

Re: Learning the Japanese language

Congrats, Ktrn!! Then, as I said before, I'd have to consider which one I would sign up to! I was considering to read よつばと! and/or チーズスイートホームin Japanese at some point because I've read in a couple of places online that they are nice for beginners since there are a lot of kana and the vocabulary isn'...

Re: Experiences [Bad Ones]

I would certainly like to know what to do in case of sickness, I'm guessing finding a doctor that speaks English would be difficult. I get that is a reason for the EU-Japan centre to request your health history but what can you do if you get a cold/break a leg or whatever? Can you request someone of...

Re: Learning the Japanese language

My japanese learning was a bit different from everyone else's but from what I heard from several participants this year, I can almost guarantee you that one year of studying at full-throttle at home will only get you as far as 3/4 weeks of japanese school here. I'm not trying to demotivate anyone b...

Re: Learning the Japanese language

in my first two weeks of work, I have learn more Japanese than in the 4 past months in the Japanese School, nothing better than the real deal. Oh, man, I was hoping that the course would at least be enough to get the JLPT5... I was actually considering to start a blog/vlog about resources to learn ...

Re: Welcome!

I can't find where it was mentioned at the moment, but for last year I'm sure they told us that no matter how many placements there are available, only maximum of 50 students will be selected. This year the list of placements seems really short as the major companies from this year ('15-'16) are ab...

Re: Welcome!

Hi there, Fëanor. ;) I could not find it but maybe i haven't searched enough so does anyone know how much people are getting accepted? Someone correct me if I am wrong but I think we can only speculate based on data from previous years. According to the EU-Japan Centre, as of last year: Q: How many ...

Re: Questions about the compulsory documents

From what I understand, 20 January is the deadline to send the documents, not for them to arrive at the Center. That's the same thing I understant from the first compulsory document as it states: DEADLINE: 20 January 2016 (latest possible postmark date) So, as long as it is marked as 'delivered on ...

Re: Questions about the compulsory documents

I also received an email from the center this morning. The international relations office of my university sent the documents last week (not sure of the exact day, but since they only accepted documents till the 12th they must've sent them afterwards).

Re: Welcome!

Hello, everyone! Last chance here as well. I just finished my undergrad studies last October and I'm currently in a Master's programme which only lasts one year! Unfortunately, I didn't notice that by doing that, the forum lost its keys for reCaptcha. It was reteka who gave me the heads-up for the b...
