Re: Waiting for the deadline
Hi everyone! I'm Yolanda, a Biotechnology undergraduate student from Spain. This is the first year I'm applying for Vulcanus. In fact, I didn't know about its existence until just four days before the application deadline  Luckily, I've been shortlisted (congratulations to all others!). I'd ...

Re: Waiting for the deadline
I was in the same position two years ago, matched to a M/D position while in my bachelor. I applied anyways and didn't get it
Two years later and at the end of my master, I'm going to give it another chance.

Re: Waiting for the deadline
Apparently, they couldn't find my online application form (which I am sure I submitted) and asked me to fill it again. So I filled the form and soon after received a letter confirming everything is fine They JUST contacted me for the exact same issue! There must be something wrong with those google...

Re: Waiting for the deadline
Hi guys! :) I've sent the application two weeks ago and the 17th January I've received an email from Vulcanus about the shortlist and the deadline. I don't understand: now I'm not in the shortlist, so this means that I haven't been accepted or there's a chance that they can add me later? :? Thank y...

Re: Many letters of recommendation
Ok. I have a question not regarding the theme so if you know it or someone else knows, please respond. I will send my letter to Bruxelles on 18th January. If my post office will be slow and the letter comes to Bruxelles 21st (Monday), will I be declined? As long as the postmark says you sent it bef...

Re: Many letters of recommendation
A gentleman in my Uni said the same. How did she attach them? By using a staple or a paperclip? I'm not sure. She said she would take care of the rest abd I was free to go Ok. I have a question not regarding the theme so if you know it or someone else knows, please respond. I will send my letter to...

Re: After short-list
They will suggest a placement for you, but you are free to choose any of the placements available (up to two) and write a cover letter for each company you choose. And if we choose one company that has many sections (or in my case laboratories like the NTT company), will they send it to a specific ...

Re: CV
I never had a picture or any personal information on my British CV, it was very weird for me to have to specify my gender and marital status when making a CV for Vulcanus. I also used the Europass and included a photo two years ago and I got shortlisted. This year I'm gonna try with a different form...

Re: Stamp on certificate of enrolment
You have been shortlisted before? Theoretically you should already know then, if its okay or not. At least in the years before, the mail containing information about the second phase (shortlisting results), contained a list of individuals, who need to resubmit the certificate. There they explicitly...

I got shortlisted two years ago. They will suggest a placement for you, but you are free to choose any of the placements available (up to two) and write a cover letter for each company you choose. If I remember correctly, they only send the letter to your first choice at first, and if there is a sec...

Re: Many letters of recommendation
Dear all, Any past applicants who knows how important is for the recommendation letter to be original? Anyone who got admitted even with a scanned letter of recommendation? Sending a scanned version of the original letter (physical original document currently in another country) would be considered...

Stamp on certificate of enrolment
Does anyone know whether electronic certificates of enrolment are accepted? The document requirements state "Please submit certificate of enrolment OR letter from your University administration (with original stamp)", it is a bit unclear whether the stamp is needed on both documents or onl...

Re: Specifying placement offers
Are there any positions displayed already? You definitely do not need to fill in that section. I did not fill it in two years ago and I got shortlisted. After that, you are matched with a suggested position based on your cv, but you are free to apply to any other position if you wish and you may cho...

Re: 2016 Applicants
in the majority of cases, you are either selected by the company that the centre assigned to you or you don't get selected at all. Looking at it from a logical stand point: you have been assigned placement A as option 1 and you also choose placement B for option 2. Now, as a primary option, you and...

Re: 2016 Applicants
@Praxi (Last time I got shortlisted) In my case, a company was assigned to me by the centre (the first option) and the second one I got to choose myself from the host companies list. How I see it, in the majority of cases, you are either selected by the company that the centre assigned to you or yo...

Hello everyone :D I've been wanting to apply for this programme for years but this was the first time I was actually eligible and guess what... I got shortlisted! :D So I thought I would sign up on this board and introduce myself instead of just lurking around. I'm Pietro, 22 y/o from Italy and I'm ...
