I guess they won't notify us before April 9th even if they receive the answer from the company before that ...

They asked very similar question like eu centre: Why Japan, why this company, do I know any Japanese and then they asked me specifics from cv, would i prefer to do this or how do I feel about doing that. There werent any questions like what is your biggest weakness, describe yourself and nonsense like that. It was very concise.

Sooooo, tomorrow is the deadline for companies to send their results. I'd say that THEORETICALLY, they COULD contact us with the results any time now. Most probably they'll be silent until the second week of April, but who knows? I just wanna start building up the excitement

But tbh it's like shroedinger's selection. In this days I feel like I'm both selected and rejected XD when we get the final results it's going to be either a success or a failure...

I keep checking my email and this forum like every hour. Hopefully they'll contact us soon or I'll go crazy. I am stuck in this cycle of excitement and feeling of failure as well. If only there was something more we could do to ensure our selection.

This is how I feel. I just cant focus and I´m switching between feeling confident and feeling like I´m going to get rejected. I only want an asnwer.

Yeah, some times I feel like I'm under qualified and that I won't get chosen because I rejected the option they proposed me.
On other days I spend time thinking about how I'm gonna dress at the meeting in Bruxelles and all the things I'll do in Japan, as if got selected XD

I feel like mood swings too fast these days ^^"

You guys have any advice on how to stop stressing too much about this? XD

I could try to find some calming words of advice to keep all of us sane until the results come.

Or I could say that right now, all results are already on the table in Belgium, since it's already 6PM in Japan. The only thing between you and a beautiful scholarship to go to Japan right now is an email from an office in Brussels. Good luck sleeping tonight!

Jokes aside now, I have been able to get along quite nicely by brushing off any Japan related thoughts as soon as I notice them popping up in my head. I tell myself to be patient, and try go do something else. Do homework, projects, etc. If you have free time (lucky you), watch some TV series (anime is also fine

), go for a walk, etc.

I have to say though that I too am guilty of fantasizing about what my life there will be like when I go (without taking into consideration that I might very well not go at all xD). Daily commute, the office, what I will do in my free time, etc. I try to stop myself as soon as I notice though :lol:

There could be many reasons. Some that I think of:
- companies that did not reply just yet
- regulations, or terms that they have to follow
- they are busy with other stuff xD

Anyhow I agree, they should understand our pain and give us relief!!

Maybe they could just notice people as soon as they get selected, not waiting till they have all the companies selections.

But, if I remember correctly, when hidesagred97 asked Margherita she said that the matchmaking will finish on the 6th of April.
So we have another week max of waiting :cry:

8th April, so next Monday we should get the results.

About why they dont notice people asap, I think that it is because they want to notice them at the same time. Previous year, some of th applicants were waiting until May and they were anxious all the time, since you saw people being selected and you were without any notice.

In my honest opinion, I prefer knowing my future in a scheduled date rather than having to look my mail for near 2 month.

As far as I understood, May is for the second round, or for possible rematches / covering spots of people who resigned. So one way or another, next Monday we will get news I hope.

This is basically horror for me now, since part of me is already assuming that a) they usually email all selected people at once and b) no email can mean I was not selected. I'll have a hard time sleeping tonight :lol:

For everyone else, this is different from last year, since everyone who wasn´t selected received a mail by 19 00 stating that we should wait more. So probably, people will be receiving mails until Monday, (I hope).
