Hi everyone! Software Engineering student from Spain here!
I found this internship program 2 months ago (heard from a friend who is applying as well) and since then I couldn't stop thinking about it! In the middle of my research (very few stuff on the internet about it
) I stumbled upon this forum and I must say that this is the best place to get information from! It seems like a small yet warm comunity and I want to thank everyone for the effort in teaching new people how to apply and helping them through the proccess. I hope I can get some lessons too!
See you around! Gonna be visiting this place a lot in the next months!

Hi everyone! Electronic engineer from Ireland. Best of luck to everyone applying! Hopefully we can all help each other out in the coming months XD
Just a tip! Make sure you start organising the documentation early. To get my college transcripts there is a 5 week wait, but I don't know if that is different in each university. So you don't want to be leaving that until the last minute in case it is the same for you.

Hello everybody
I am an applicant from Italy.
Anybody knows if it's possible to send the documentation prior to January and if anybody from the past applicants believe it might be a good idea for enhancing the chances or if they're gonna evaluate all the application documents after the deadline on 20th of January anyway?
Best luck to all,
Matteo.

Re: Welcome!
Hi!
I was wondering the same, I had my file ready for when it opened.
In past years I think you could send it any time but it's only this year they specifically state that it's January.
Personally I feel it's best to wait until later because I think they probably won't look at them until they all come in in January anyway, and sending it sooner could lead to it being forgotten or misplaced.

It says in the papers to send the applications between 5-20 Jan and they almost certainly dont look at applications before the deadline, since there´s whole committee that needs to gather in order to evaluate the applications.
And Hi, I am Frederik, student of Mechanical Engineering/production technologies from Slovakia. I applied last year but it didn´t work out so I am trying out again

Hi everyone! My name is Luís, I come from Portugal and I'm a chemical engineering student. I have already completed my Bachelor's and I'm currently on my Master's degree (Field of studies: Energy and (Bio)Refinery), 1st year. I intend to apply for the ViJ program next year, if everything goes well. For now, I'm here just for questioning, hopefully in the future, I'll be here answering the questions

Hi all, I'm Adrian. Same situation here
The worst thing is that I learned about the program recently and did not have much time to prepare. Just today I managed to collect all documents. I wasn't able to send it by courier so I sent it as unregistred mail via post. Now I am worried that it's going to be lost somewhere.

What's the difference between the two options? I just sent all the documents in an enveloppe a'd didn't really think about the mailing option haha

Of course I meant letter not mail, my mistake. The point is that I wasn't able to send the letter, which doesn't require a signature upon receipt while still being tracked. Now I'm worried that it might get lost on the way and I won't even know about it

Oh I did the same... There are only a few chances that it might get lost... I didn't think about it and now I'm worried haha. Do you think about maybe calling them to know it they received it?
Re: Welcome!
I think someone said in other topic that they will inform us when letter arrives. It's just that I have to wait now, that's why I come up with the worst scenarios

Hi Maelle!
A while ago I wrote a little post regarding my application procedure experience, and what I think might be important.
https://mariomeissner.github.io/vulcanus-application/
As for grades, it's certainly not necessary for them to be perfect, but it might be hard if they are very low, especially in the pre-selection phase. Don't let it demotivate you though! Definitely give it a shot.
